*BACK PALLET STOCK**BEST BEFORE 31/7/18**The first stout to be made with added chocolate, not once but twice! First created in 1997 this is a dark, ruby coloured stout that is almost black from a distance. A distinctive chocolate flavour with a smooth and velvety finish. Melted chocolate bars are added to the boil and the essence is added after filtration. The combination of chocolate and beer is surprisingly easy to drink.Chocolate everywhere in this one, from the nose through to the taste, also pick up some hints of liquorice as well as roasted coffee flavours. Appearance is very dark almost black. The smell was enticing, the flavour was delicious, and it went down very smooth. This one is a luxury that I am keen to return to again and again.
