McAuslan is one of Quebecs best known and most successful microbreweries. Like Rogue, each of McAuslans beers is lovingly nurtured and brewed without compromise from only from the best available ingredients. This care and attention to detail has earned McAuslan a place in the heart of many a beer aficionado worldwide.
Named after St Ambroise Street, thestreet on which McAuslan makes their beer.
Brewed from dark malts and roasted barley, this black ale has intense flavours of expresso, chocolate and liquorice. The oatmeal gives the beer a thick, velvety body, and ensures that the mocha-coloured head sticks around until the very last drop. Hoppier, and more bitter than an English stout, the St Ambroise Oatmeal Stout is a consistent medal winner at beer awards, and is rated in the 100th percentile of Stouts on ratebeer.com.
