Old Fart is an English Ale brewed by Merrimans / Old Fart Ltd in West Yorkshire, England. Rich and complex, made only from the finest Malt and Hops it was conceived in celebration of all the cantankerous old boozers who make life a misery.
Tasting Notes:
Pours clear amber colour with creamy beige head. Acceptable head retention. Woody hop aroma with a hint of sweet fruity aroma. Nicely balanced flavour, sweet, with a nice bitter kick to it. Tastes of crystal malt and some hop flavour comes through. Medium body, smooth with little to no carbonation.

Once, every farm in Norway was required by law to brew its own ale. All of that ale had a natural smoky taste because the malt was kilned by fire, and most of it was spiced with juniper berries. Norwegian Wood, a recreation of that traditional style, is made by the "Hand Brewery" - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale.
